                   Something devestating happened to my sweet sister and her 6 kids who live in Delta Junction, Alaska last week.  Their entire home as well as their dental office (which was attached to the home) burned down!  I can’t even imagine the loss they are feeling.  Their entire family is safe and sound.  The people up there, as well as all our family and home town friends in California have been helping out so much!  But this tragedy has really got me thinking!!

                 If there is a fire, you don’t go for your big screen, or those expensive shoes you saved up for years to finally buy, or even your $10,000 jewlery.  What do you grab when you have 10 seconds?  The only thing that would be in my hands are my children, and my pictures, (and if I could grab a few more things, they would be journals and family videos).  Every other item in my home is replaceable.  These items are priceless.  This makes me love my job even more.  I love being the one to capture pricless treasues.  The only thing we can take with us form yesterday are our memories.  This is where I came up with my moto – Don’t miss a precious moment…they only happen once. 

                 So, I have committed to keep your photos on my external harddrive for a least a year after your session.  If all goes well and I have enough USB ports to hold hundreds of external hard drives, then I will keep them as long as I can in case something like what happened to my sister happens to you.  I sure hope not!  Just in case, there are some great inexpensive online storage companies like Mozy and Carbonite (who I use), that will back up your hard drive so you won’t have to worry about losing all your digital photos in a fire. 

                 I want to help my sweet sister and be a hub for donations so they can replace their possessions.  Luckily they had insurance for the structure of the home, but all their personal belongings such as clothes, dishes, supplies, food, furniture were not insured.  If  you would like to make a donation you can click on the link below.  I want to get Angie tons of tupperware bins like she had before.  I’m sure she had well over 100.  If you know my sister, you know this is true!

Here is this adorable couple again.  We did 2 sets of engagements because the first set was in Vegas and we wanted to get these two in their Utah uniforms at home.  I just think  it is so cute how these guys met.  Kayli was cheering at Ricks game and who could miss either one of them!  The funny thing is, I played for BYU and Utah has always been the arch rival.  Well, I have now shot on Utah’s football field and the basketball court.  I have yet to shoot at BYU!  So, I’m sending an open request out there

Yup this couple is for real!  They are seriously this beautiful!  These guys met at the U of U where Rick plays basketball and Kayli is a cheerleader.  Their story is so cute and couldn’t be more perfect.  We will be doing another session soon with their Utah uniforms and I can’t wait!  Guys, you are perfect for each other!

So I’m kicking off the new year with as much as a bang as you can get!  I had our sweet little girl on Christmas Eve, and she is an angel!  I am booking into February already and my spring and summer are filling up with weddings fast!  So book yours early!  I have been working on improving my business and here they are!

You can’t fake love and real passion folks!  This couple was absolutely incredible.  Not only are they beautiful, but they inspired me!  I love the final result, and these might be my most favorite session to date (as you can tell because there are so many photos on here)!  Everything went so perfect and I had so much fun!
