Some photographers might think I am crazy, but I really do enjoy doing large families!  Most feedback I get is “that was so fast and painless!”  I guess that is what happens when I controlled 6 different classes of 36 high school kids all day for 3 years.  I really do enjoy photographing big families, and this one was great!  I got to do a few families as a mini session and that was just the icing on the cake!  Enjoy the Thompson family!

What a crazy family!  And when I say crazy, I mean one of the most playful, entertaining, and exciting families.  My cheeks hurt after this session from smiling.  There really wasn’t a dull moment.  So yes…we had a lot of fun and you can really see it in their photos!

This family and I are so similiar.  Both from California, and we love volleyball!  The day after this session, this sweet family said goodbye to their oldest son who will be serving a 2 year mission in Wisconsin.  These guys have so much personality and spunk and were a lot of fun!

Family: We made it!

July 28, 2010

I was so close to not shooting this family because there was a downpour!  We actually canceled and then started driving away and decided to try to beat the storm and drive south to a different location.  It worked!  I love the way these turned out with all the amazing colors.  This family is so amazing and hopefully we will be related soon…

Camilla Photography: Families are so so hard and you did such a great job! How you got them all together for that shot, the 7th one down, is amazing. Nicely done. Now take my family pictures!

I love 50 year wedding anniversaries!  First of all, look at how cute this couple is!!  I didn’t post them at all!  They are so in love and he just couldn’t keep his hands off of her after 50 years.  I seriously cried when I was editing these.  SO CUTE!  Anyway, to celebrate, they got almost the whole family together for an amazing reunion in Park City.  Thanks guys!!

Julie Parker: These look fantastic! Thanks so much!

First of all, I love it when I get to see clients again!  Remember these guys from Star Mill 9 months ago? Last time I shot them I was soo pregnant!  For this session, I wanted to try something a little different.  Usually, photographers go right to the shade for family pictures to get the best lighting…but I wanted to be right out in the sun.  I love how they turned out!  These 2 kids are so adorable too!!!  Talk about a good looking family!

Erin Fonnesbeck: Mandi, these are BEAUTIFUL! That mom is stunning and her dress is amazing. So crisp, clear and so fun... I love your work!

jacqui: You have such amazing talent Mandi.

This great family let me invade their beautiful vacation up in Park City.  I’m so glad I was able to because it is just beautiful up there!  We found the most secluded, beautiful field of Aspens, but we had to watch out for the cows!  Check out how adorable Grandma and Grandpa are!  They are celebrating their 50th Anniversary.  I hope Matt and are this cute in 45 years!

Family: 22 Smiles!

June 1, 2010

Can I just say I love what I do.  I can’t call it a job, because it is way too much fun.  This wonderful family has so much love for eachother, and they were the easiest bunch of 22 people to photograph!  We basically played the whole time!  I played volleyball at BYU with Annie and it was so good to see her again too!  I also found my new favorite way to take large family pictures.  I love the way a large panorama gets everyone close up in the photo.  This one will be a 15 X 60!  I love it!  Thanks Kemp family!

Don’t  you just want to kiss those cheeks!   For this little pumpkin, we were able to do family pictures as well as her 1 year pictures.  She gave me so many cute pictures with her little toungue.  She also completely destroyed her cake!  There was nothing left when was done with it!  I had a lot of fun and she is such a doll!

Here is a session I got to do in my hometown of Camino, Ca.  I’m still just blown away at how beautiful it is there!  Here is a family that has so much love, spunk, and fun with eachother.  I played volleyball with Lindsay in highschool where I must say, we were pretty good!  I wish I had this kind of landscae in Utah!
